Breakout at FBC.....

Every morning the children of FBC gets to participate in Breakout - a new and fun time of worship and praise for children grades 1-6.  They gather before Sunday School and sing praise songs, and listen to Todd Goldman and his animated Bible Story telling before going into small groups.

Starting every 5th Sunday, each Sunday School class will be invited at 8:30am for a light breakfast and fun time to see what Breakout is all about.  This morning, Rodney Crouch's Sunday School class that Tommy and I attend participated this morning.  Most of our children are a part of breakout, so it was exciting for them to see their Daddies participating in the little skit that Todd encouraged!

In these images (which were from my iPhone - so not the best in quality and speed!) each person was demonstrating how to bounce a ball, draw a pistol, ride a horse, and wiggling a hoola hoop all at the same time! It was quite entertaining and I believe that Rodney's horse had a broken hip from what Clara says! :)  All in good fun! Hope you enjoy these!! :)

Breakout at FBC starts at 8:45am sharp! For more information, call 662-256-7131.

Project 365.....

I'm so excited about receiving a new Canon lens today! As soon as it came I took some pictures of my 14 year old pom - Jaxson! Although he wasn't the easiest of subjects to photography - I got to play with my new lens. I love it! I'm excited of the new possibilities for portraits and details that this lens will provide.

Today is also my baby sister's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTI!! Love you!!!  xxoo

25 Random Things about Teresa...

I have been tagged with this email and thought I would participate since I started thinking about it.... I'm not so good at responding with these things - but here it goes...

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

1 - First - I always wanted to married and have children (at least 2 - I thought 3 until I had my 2 girls)! I wouldn't change anything about it! I love being married and having 2 girls. I always wanted 2 girls.

2 - I wouldn't know what to do with a boy if I had one - but my nephew is teaching me!
3 - I always try to please people, especially my family. I hate the thought of disappointing anyone.
4 - Growing up, I loved Wonder Woman. I watched the show, had the lunchbox, had the Halloween outfit and underoos, but am embarrassed when someone brings it up.
5 - I have worn glasses since 2nd grade and contacts since 8th grade. Without them, I cannot even see the alarm clock at night.
6 - I never had braces growing up but have them now - just because I wanted straight teeth - period.  I get them off the end of March - Yay!!
7 - I started piano lessons in the 2nd grade and took through my sophmore year in college. First year in college I was a music major.
8 - I was first chair flute from the 6th grade through my freshman year in College and was only given 2nd chair in college because I wasn't a music major anymore.
9 - I am a huge Duran Duran fan. I never went to see them in concert until 2003.
10- I'm a big 80's fan - loved the music, fashion, even the crazy hair! I got an XM radio for Christmas and listen to several 80's stations all the time. It's the best genre of music I've ever heard. My favorites are those that have synthesizers in them - it amazes me the different sounds that synthesizers can make.
11 - I've always wanted to own a synthesizer since the 80's!
12 - I once took a college aptitude test to see what to major in - which was art. I laughed about it but have regrets that I didn't persue it any further.
13 - I graduated from Ole Miss in Speech Language Pathology - I failed the specialty test twice and the written and oral exams once each. I should have known then it wasn't for me!
14 - I believe everything happens for a reason and we all learn from our experiences and mistakes.
15 - The birth of my girls was the most peaceful experience of my life holding them for the first time and bringing them home. I've never had that complete peace since.
16 - I knew after the birth of Erin and all of her sicknesses as a baby (she has asthma) that I wanted to be a stay at home/work at home mom.
17 - I've had an entrepeuner spirit since I was in college. I have started and quit at least 6 home businesses all of which were pretty much either unsuccessful or I wasn't into it. It wasn't until 2003 that I started my journey with photography.  All of these attempts at businesses and experiences were helpful in my business today.
18 - I tried to make myself believe that going back to work full time when Logann was 3 was what I wanted. I felt pressured to return to work and went through a difficult depression.  What helped me through this time and out of the depression was returning to the Bible and spending time with God in prayer.
19 - I would rather spend money on makeup and jewelry than clothes.  It is difficult for me to go out and shop at the mall for myself and not buy for or look for someone else.
20 - I'm still trying to find my "style" in photography - I want to concentrate more on babies, children, families and weddings this year.  I like to crop the way I want - in "thirds" and not always getting every part of the subject in the picture - that's what proofs are mainly for - not art.
21 - Photography is no longer a "hobby" for me - it's a full time business. I'll never have a studio. I don't ever want to be tied to one - and I don't think it "makes" you a professional by having one. I believe God has blessed my business tremendously because I am successful without a storefront.
21 - I don't like lots of noises going on at the same time (i.e. girls being loud, tv on, dog barking, telephone ringing). I feel like I'm coming out of my skin.
22 - I have a "thing" about my hands getting dirty or touching dirty things or getting my hands into dirty places. I don't like anything sticky or dirty on my hands. I'd also rather hug someone than shake someone's hand. I guess you could say I'm sort of OCD or have a fear of germs - dunno.
23 - I don't like when food sits out forever after dinner, especially meat - which I don't like red, bloody meat either.  I love Starbucks, chocolate, and pizza.
24 - I think I have a special gift for reading people, and relating to babies and children. It's something I cannot explain and I think comes from God. I can be in Wal mart and just make eye contact with a baby or child I've never seen before and not say a word and the child will either smile or talk to me.  I hate to see adults yelling at children in public places. Believe me, I've had to displine my own children in public, but I'm talking about adults lashing out at children in public.
25 - I have a lot of other things I could write about - maybe for another time - but lastly, I want to make more time to do things for myself and  learn more online about photography.

80's flashback party

Img_0565  We had the best time at the 80's flashback party at FBC last Friday night! We took a step back in time and relived moments that were once forgotten! Matt Stark, our new youth director at FBC did a GREAT job! He showed clips of tv shows, commercials, and played music from the 80's. It was a great time! Matt's band also played some Christian rock music that was fantastic!!  Here are a few shots from the night!

My Celebrity Look-alikes

My cool celebrity look-alike collage from MyHeritage.comGet one for yourself.

Craft Blog Site :)

I ran across a neat little blog connecting videos to youtube.com - I don't know about you, but when I am bored I love to surf on youtube.com. I especially like the funny videos! I get a good laugh from some of them! I'll try and post some when I surf. Anyway - I ran across this neat site last nite and thought I would share. I wish I could be more crafty like this - maybe watching will inspire me to at least do the "card of the week"!

Anyway - I love how simple these videos are - maybe someday I will figure out how to upload videos on youtube.com and post some photography sessions! :) That would be neat!
